This is a part-time benefit eligible position.

This position is eligible for Avera's student loan repayment program which helps you pay off your loans and save money. Each month an extra payment of $167/month (up to $10,000) from Avera will help you pay down your principle balance faster.

Job Summary

The Medical Laboratory Scientist is accountable for providing accurate and timely results to physicians, and performing various chemical, microscopic and bacteriologic tests on patient/resident specimens to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science is required.

Certification, Licensure, Registration

  • Certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist from ASCP or AMT is preferred.

Work Schedule

  • Monday-Friday 6:00am-4:30pm or 7:00am-5:30pm

  • Weekend Rotation - Once every 6 weeks

  • Holiday - 1 to 2 per year

  • Call Time: 1 night per week and every 6th weekend

  • Part Time - 48hrs/2wks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

  • $27.50 - $41.50 per hour
