Job Summary

  • The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations in an outpatient family practice clinic and emergency department and in collaboration with a physician.

  • Nurse Practitioners practice under the rules and regulations of the Nurse Practice Act of the state in which they work.

Education and/or Experience

  • Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) required.

  • Minimum of 1-2 years general nursing experience required.

  • 1-2 years Nurse Practitioner experience in a clinic or hospital preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • Licensure as an APRN Nurse Practitioner in the state of Nebraska or multistate licensure in a compact state required.

  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska or multistate licensure in a compact state required.

  • Federal DEA certification required for Nebraska.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within three months of hire.

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within three months of hire.

  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) required within one year of hire.

Work Schedule

  • Varied Shifts, this is a Call-Only position; 80 hours every 2 weeks

  • Mondays and Wednesdays: 7:00am-7:00am – 24 hour on-call shifts

  • Fridays: 7:00am-5:00pm on-call shifts

  • 1 in 7 weekends

  • 1 holiday per year
